The official public event for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Long Weekend in London's iconic Hyde Park.  Inspired by the great British tradition of Village Fetes and Street Parties, the event was a celebration of British heritage and Her Majesty the Queen’s reign over Britain and the Commonwealth. Celebrating six decades of Britishlife, entertainment, sport, food and culture, with all the pomp and ceremony youd expect.

 

On the main stage, Festival highlights included a newly created 70 minute spectacular, 'The Magic of Disney in Concert', the first ever performance at a festival of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, and an adapted appearance of War Horse, the award-winning National Theatre production, and an exclusive performance from Billy Elliot the Musical. There was a Kids Zone with favourite kids television characters performing live, a Commonwealth Stage with artists from around the globe, a Parade Ground with military bands, and displays by dogs, horses, motorcyles and parachutists, and so much more, culminating in an audience attendance of over 250,000 over the 3 days.
